Homework Policy
Math Homework Grading Policy:
Homework is worth 4 points (and will be recorded as a percent). To earn the full 4 points, homework must be on time with every problem attempted and all work shown.
Missing a few problems? 3/4
Only halfway complete? 2/4
You will lose a point if the assignment is late.
You will lose a point if you do not show work.
You will lose a point if you do not follow directions.
Examples:
Complete, with all work shown, but late: 3/4
Skipped a few problems: 3/4
Complete, but only showed work on half: 3/4
Late and skipped some problems: 2/4
Late, skipped some problems, and work not shown: 1/4
You can fix/redo any assignment with a 2 or lower, but the best you can earn at that point is a 3. (These must be turned in by midterm for the first half of the quarter, or by the end of the quarter for the second half of the quarter.)
On your paper I will list any number lower than 4 with a footnote:
I - incomplete
W - work not shown
L - late
D - directions not followed
*All homework assignments will be corrected by you in class using red pen and should be kept in your math folder to use as a study guide for the quiz/test. I will let you know when it is okay to clean out your folder. It is your responsibility to ask questions and get help on homework problems if there is something you do not understand. If you are absent, you are responsible for making up your work and checking it with me.
